GPSGP: Gratuity & Other Lump Sum Payment not Added to Total in IR8A (Doc ID 1966496.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 16, 2015

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Global Payroll Singapore - Version 9 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After the IR8A Form is generated for an employee, the 'Gratuity & compensation - Others' is entered with $50,000. However, when IR8A is printed, this amount is not printed against 'Lump sum payment' (Item d4) and also not summed to the TOTAL (Items d1 to d9). Similarly it is not generated into the IR8A File.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Employer needs to state the respective taxable components of the lump sum payment under items 4(i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) and declare the total amount under item d4. The Item d4 in turn has to be added to TOTAL (Items d1 to d9) in the IR8A Form. This amount has to be generated into the IR8A File.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Process at least one pay calendar to Finalized.
2. Create CPF Reporting Data.
3. Create IR8A/IR8S Forms.
4. 'Gratuity & compensation - Others' is entered with $50,000.
5. Print IR8A/IR8 Forms.
6. Create IR8A File.
