EPY: FLSA Overtime Calculation Incorrect On Second Look Back (Doc ID 1967720.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 01, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Payroll for North America - Version 9.1 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The FLSA calculation on a second look back for the same FLSA period can be incorrect.

1st Paycheck : Employee receives original paycheck with overtime. The overtime is calculated correctly.

2rd Paycheck:  Incentive paid to employee covering the FLSA period on the first check. The FLSA is calculated correctly on this check, however, it is noted that the
PAY_EARNINGS Hourly rate on the paycheck is different than the original payment (could be higher/lower).

3rd Paycheck:  Another incentive is paid to employee covering the same FLSA period as on the original check and previous look back. The PAY_EARNINGS Hourly rate on this check will likely be incorrect as well, however, this time the FLSA is
incorrect.  The FLSA calculation is using the rate noted on the previous paycheck's incorrect PAY_EARNINGS Hourly rate.

Changes

Issue occurs after application of Tax Update 14-E and impacts releases 9.1 and 9.2 only.
