E-PORTAL: Portal Pagelet Synchronization Fails Successful But SQL Error When Expanding The Menu Content

PeopleTools 8.54 implementation. Portal is integrating with Content Provider HCM database using Unified Navigation. When importing the pagelets for the HCM menu, which is just the HCM menu root, the menu doesn't expand even if the import of the pagelet is successful.
On the Content Provider environment, the following error message can be seen:
Return: 8602 - [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]Executing SQL directly; no cursor.

Original Statement: SELECT UNIQUE(WEBPROFILENAME) FROM PSWEBPROFPROP ;
Now on the PA side, the following:

menu doesn't expand even if the import of the pagelet is successful.
menu should expand after importing the pagelet
1) Go to Portal Administration > Unified navigation workcenter
2) Go to unified navigation setup > Select remote content
3) go to configure drop down menu and enter
Select a Folder
4) Import the pagelets for the HRMS node, import is successful
5) Try to expand the newly created HCM root foolder
6) Please list the documentation you have reviewed and describe the troubleshooting steps, if any, you have taken.
Checked all unified navigation and integration broker network settings as well as logs on the app server. Reviewed documentation on how to setup unified navigation and verified settings are correct.
User is not able to navigate menu through the unified navigation.
