ETL9.2: Absence Requests Not Displaying In Time And Labor WorkCenter

Absence requests (future) are not displaying when submitted in the Managers Time and Labor WorkCenter as an approval alert. Currently, absences submitted via the timesheet are submitted and display under the Pending Absence approval alert but absences submitted via the Absence request (Main Menu > Self Service > Time Reporting > Report Time > Absence Request) are not
displaying under Pending Absence or Pending Reported Time.
Customer would like for the pending absence requests submitted via the Absence Request page to update the count on the workcenter. Since Customer direct their managers to the workcenter, absence request approvals are being missed due to the count not including all requests.
To replicate the issue,
a. Submit a future absence request by navigating to Main Menu > Self Service > Time Reporting > Report Time > Absence Request.
b. Login as the Manager and on the Time and Labor WorkCenter, an approval alert should be there notifying the manager that there is a pending absence.
