EAP: Payment Post Creates RSA and RSAF Entries

Information in this document applies to any platform.
The Payment Posting process creates RSA and RSAF (Rounding Suspense for Foreign) entries.
1. On Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Business Unit Related > General Ledger > General Ledger Definition > Currency Options page set the Currency balancing Option to 'Balance by All Currencies'.
2. On Withholding Entity page, Select Apply Withholding as 'Withhold at Payment'.
3. On Payables Installation Option page, setup Posting Method as 'Detail Offset'.
1.Create a Supplier with dual Withholding Entities.
IRS for Internal Revenue Service – Reportable
FTB for Franchise Tax Board – 7% withholding
2.Enter a Voucher in US business unit with 4 invoice lines with transaction currency USD.
Line 1 - 7% withholding for FTB
Line 2 to 4 - uncheck withholding checkbox on Voucher Withholding Information page
3.Run Voucher Post.
4.Run Pay Cycle which splits the payment net amount to payee and withholding amount to FTB and puts the withholding payment on hold.
5.Release the Hold option on Voucher Payment page for withholding payment and change the Remit to Vendor from FTB to Payee.
6.Run Pay Cycle to pay withholding amount.
7.Run Payment Post which generate RSA and RSAF entries.
