E-PORTAL: Uncaught TypeError : Cannot set property 'value' of undefined - received when using Pagelets links
Last updated on DECEMBER 22, 2016
Applies to:PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.53 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
In a DEMO FSCM 9.2 environment build on PT 8.53.12. and in a workcenter that has at minimum 2 pagelets set on the left pane, continuous spinning occurs intermittently across the user population
As additional information it seems that all the links across both pagelets share the same session number (e.g win3) when they should have distinct session numbers.
This session clash could be seen in the browser bottom status bar, when hovering with the mouse over the pagelet links.
Eg. submitAction_win3 could be seen in both pagelets
The effect of this condition is that the user sees the processing image permanently when clicking the links in pagelets
PeopleTools 8.53.12 & FSCM 9.2
Production and DEMO environments
1) Signon to the PIA
2) Use FSCM delivered pagelet Main menu > General Ledger > GL Workcenter
3) Select Ledger Data from Queries pagelet
4) The processing wheel spins forever
A warning is received in Chrome debugging console
'Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user's experience. For more help, check http://xhr.spec.whatwg.org/.'
Followed by error:
Uncaught TypeError : Cannot set property 'value' of undefined
