Goal

Why are InterUnit Transfers for Non Costed Items not being depleted by the 'Deplete On Hand Qty' process (IN_FUL_DPL) (navigation: Inventory, Fulfill Stock Orders, Shipping, Deplete On Hand Quantity)?

The following messages can be seen in the process Message Log:

Default cost element has not been specified for the Item

Fulfillment request returns no rows to process. (11240,99)

Note that for Non Costed Items, the Default Cost Element field is grayed out and blank on the 'Define Business Unit Item' page (navigation: Items, Define Items and Attributes, Define Business Unit Item).
