E-AD: When using \ In a String Concatenation the Color Coding is Incorrect in Application Designer for PeopleTools 8.54 (Doc ID 1992096.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 25, 2016

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.54 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Application Designer wrongly colors the code when \ is used in a string concatenation. In previous PeopleTools versions this was recognized not to be an escapation (but part of the string), but in PeopleTools 8.54 the color coding is incorrect. The functionality of the code is not affected in any way, this is just a cosmetic issue.

This incorrect color coding may confuse users to think that the code is incorrect.

Sample code that has this problem:

See here how the color coding looks for this example.
