When reprocessing an event to Re-Enter, the stored statement PSPBAENR_D_BP_PGM will select all events that are not event class HIR to pull back the Benefit Program Table enrollment. This means that if a custom Hire event class is used, the initial Benefit Program Table enrollment is deleted.
This can cause Payroll errors if the event is sitting at Re-Enter while waiting for elections to be submitted by an employee and payroll it attempting to calculate benefits.
The request is to enable a method to ensure that the first Benefit Program enrollment is not removed for any event class so that custom hard coding to include the custom Hire class is no longer required.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to Benefits -> Manage Automated Enrollment -> Events -> On-Demand Event Maintenance on a new hire with a custom event class that has not elected benefits yet
2. Click on Event Status Update
4. Then set Process to Re-Enter, and then reprocess event
5. The Benefits Program is deleted from the employee Job Data page.
