Last updated on MARCH 16, 2016

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Expenses - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ISSUE:

Having recently upgraded the PeopleSoft Enterprise FSCM 9.2 Image #10, and PeopleTools 8.54, a series of Error Messages due to PeopleCode compilation problems are being received by Expenses Users when trying to create/update/view/approve new or existing Expense Report transactions into the system.

It seems that it is making some sort of reference to the new introduced Enhancement of Receipt Verifier approval level in Expenses Workflow.

REPLICATION STEPS:

   - Log into the FSCM 9.2 Image #10 Online Application as a User ID in Expenses module
   - Navigate to: Employee Self-Service > Travel and Expense Center > Expense Report > Create/Modify
   - Define an Employee ID value, and click on ADD a new transaction
   - The series of Error Messages take place
   - Navigate to: Employee Self-Service > Travel and Expense Center > Expense Report > View
   - Perform a search among any of the existing Expense Reports, and click on one of them to open it
   - The same series of Error Messages also take place
   - Navigate to: Manager Employee-Self Service > Travel and Expense Center > Approvals > Approve Transactions
   - Try opening one of the submitted and routed Expense Reports
   - The same series of Error Messages also take place

ERROR MESSAGES:

" PeopleCode compile error (Field EX_HDR_WRK.PB_RCPT_VERIF not defined. (2,17) ^ FEX) for program EX_SHEET_HDR.SHEET_ID.SavePreChange. (2,405)
A PeopleCode program for the specified reference failed to compile correctly for the indicated reason.
In Application Designer, open the referenced program and examine the PeopleCode to locate the cause of the error.

Invalid of missing PeopleCode program EX_SHEET_HDR.SHEET_ID.SavePreChange. (2,300)
A PeopleCode program required by the Component is missing or invalid. The program or field containing the program may have been deleted, or it may contain a reference to a missing program or field.
Review the specified PeopleCode and correct.

Page load failed for TE_EXPENSE_SHEET/GBL. (15,60)
The component processor was unable to load the page objects for the specified page. This may be caused by missing definitions or PeopleCode in the database.
Corect any problems reported by previous messages and retry. "

BUSINESS IMPACT:

Employees are unable to create brand new Expense Reports, as well as review their existing ones in the system. The Approver Users are unable to act on those submitted transactions, which delay their approvals, and ultimately the reimbursement to Employees and Credit Card Vendors.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

After the installation of FSCM 9.2 Image #10, Expenses Users should be able to properly create/update/view/approve Expense Report transactions into the system without any trouble.
