E-NV Adhoc NVision Reports Failing With 'Excel Interface Exception' When Report Request Page Is Not Saved (Doc ID 1994330.1)

Symptoms

The following error occurs when users do not save changes (after updating a field such as 'As of Date') to the Report Request page upon running the nVision report :

'Excel interface exception [E:\pt85314b-retail\peopletools\src\psnxl\gridapp.cpp:2172] Microsoft Excel cannot access the file '\.xlsm'. There are several possible reasons:

• The file name or path does not exist.
• The file is being used by another program.
• The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a currently open workbook.' Error for 'Microsoft Excel: '. (28,160)


If the user saves the page before running the report, the nVision report runs successfully.
