EAM: Mass Transaction ADJ - Adjustment Doubling Salvage Value (Doc ID 1996269.1)

Last updated on APRIL 09, 2015

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Asset Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When using Mass Transactions to adjust the cost of an asset, an ADJ transaction is being created to adjust the cost by the percentage specified.  However, the salvage value that is being populated in the INTFC_FIN table is the original salvage value amount.  As such, the Salvage Value is being doubled regardless of the percentage that is being specified.

When using the cost/adjust transfer page, the salvage value is correctly calculated based on the adjusted cost amount.

Expected Behavior
It is expected that the salvage value is calculated based on the percentage specified.

this issue can be replicated by performing the following steps:

1) Create an asset with salvage.
2) Attempt to add an ADJ transaction for a 10% adjustment to cost via the Mass Transactions functionality.

Business Impact
The Salvage Value of the asset is doubled rather than adjusted by the percentage.
