Symptoms

When an employee or contingent worker is set with a Expected Job End Date in
Job Data that pre dates a Location Change transaction in Manager Self Service
that requires Personnel Administrator to process the transaction the system
goes to Error
A SQL error occurred. Please consult your system log for details.
Error when attempting to trigger Business Process / Event: HR_SS_WORK_EVENTS
/ Location Change CI Notify (67,2)
There is a problem in calling TriggerBusinessEvent for the indicated Business
Process/Event.
Review the program for errors.  If necessary, run a PeopleCode trace to
determine the program that failed.

The PeopleCode TriggerBusinessEvent built-in function was used by the
specified PeopleCode program and failed to execute correctly on the client
workstation.

 

STEPS TO REPLICATE

1.  User creates two new Positions (Organizational Development,Position
Management,Maintain Positions/Budget, Add/Update Positions) to link them to
same Position/Reports to Position  
2.  User creates two new Contingent Workers, linking them to these two new
positions.
3.  For each of these two Contingent Workers enter an Expected Job End Date,
one to Pre-date the current system date and the other to Post-Date the
current System Date
4.  The manager in the Postion that these two Workers Reports to logs into
Manager Self Service,Job and Personal Information, Request a Location Change
and submits a Location Change for each of these Contingent Workers
5.  The system is set up to require Approval from the Manager's Manager for
each Location Change (SetUp HRMS,Self Service,Worflow Configurations)
6.  The Manager's Manager Approves both the requests in Manager Self Service,
Job and Personal Information,Approve Location Changes and approves both
requests
7.  Because the Allow Dbase check box in UNCHECKED on the (SetUp HRMS,Self
Service,Worflow Configurations) the Personnel Adminstrator then receives
these Location Changes in Workforce Administration, Self Service
Transactions,Location Changes
8.  The Administrator selects the "Select This Options to approve the
transaction and automatically update the dbase" option and saves
9.  The employee that has a Expected Job End Date that Pre-dates the Location
 Change Transaction goes to error
