Symptoms

The Production Order (PID) Due Date changes sometimes to the next day when changing the End Quantity and using the 'Backward' Scheduling Method (navigation: Production Control, Define Production, Production IDs/Schedules, Maintain PIDs).

The issue occurs when a Shift falls across 2 days and the Production Date for Time option on the 'Shift Code Definition' page is set to 'End Time' (navigation: Set Up Financials/Supply Chain, Business Unit Related, Manufacturing, Define Production Calendars, Shift Code Definition).

Steps to replicate the issue:

  1. Shift Code Definition for US008 - Select 'End Time' as the Prdn Date for Time.
(navigation: Set Up Financials/Supply Chain, Business Unit Related, Manufacturing, Define Production Calendars, Shift Code Definition)

  2. Default Prdn Calendar Week - verify to make sure there are no errors or overlapping Shifts.
(navigation:  Set Up Financials/Supply Chain, Business Unit Related, Manufacturing, Define Production Calendars, Default Prdn Calendar Week)

  3. Make sure Calendar Code Definition for 2014 exists and the Shift schedule matches Default Prdn Calendar Week schedule setup.
(navigation: Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Business Unit Related > Manufacturing > Define Production Calendars > Calendar Code Definition)

  4. Run the 'Create Calendar' SQR report (MGS3000).
(navigation: Set Up Financials/Supply Chain, Business Unit Related, Manufacturing, Define Production Calendars, Create Calendars)

  5. Open an existing or add a new PID with Backward Scheduling Method and a Due Time of 11.59 PM.
(navigation: Production Control, Define Production, Production IDs/Schedules, Maintain PIDs)

  6. Change the Prdn Start Qty and save. Before saving note that the Due Date is 09/30/2014.

  7. After saving the Due Date gets incremented by 1 and the new Due Date is 10/1/2014.
