There are times when the Integration Broker Message Definition has changed but the corresponding Web Service has not been re-deployed. Having the Web Service not in synch with the Message Definition can lead to various issues.
Follow these steps to verify if the Web Service and the Message Definition are in sync:
- Enable the trace at the Routing level for the Service Operations linked to the Web Services you have re-deployed (navigation: PeopleTools, Integration Broker, Integration Setup, Service Operations - Tab: Routings - Click on the Routing Name hyperlink to access the 'IB Routing Definitions' page - Tab: Routing Definitions - Field: Log Detail).
- Log in Mobile Inventory and create a transaction for the Task Flow which is using the Web Service you would like to check.
Go back to PIA side and check the generated Web Service XML data (navigation: PeopleTools, Integration Broker, Service Operations Monitor, Synchronous Services):
a) Select the Service Operations linked to the Web Services you have re-deployed.
b) Click on 'Refresh'.
c) Click on the 'Details' hyperlink for the latest Transaction ID.
d) Click on the 'View XML' hyperlink.
- Compare the XML message with the current latest message template. If any differences, you need to redeploy the Web Service. But how to do that?
