Symptoms

 When starting bsu.cmd or bsu.sh it hangs and never starts the Smart Update product. Running in debug mode (bsu.cmd -log=bsu_debug.txt on Windows / bsu.sh -log=bsu_debug.txt on Unix the error below is seen in the bsu_debug.txt log:
