EAM: OPEN PERIODS FOR NON DEFAULT LEDGER GROUP ON DISPOSAL WORKSHEET (Doc ID 2006197.1)

When disposing of assets via the Disposal Worksheet, we are getting the following error message. The Business Unit is set up to create accounting entries for a non default ledger group, however, the periods for the default ledger group for the corresponding GL BU are open.


Error Message

"The accounting date, 2015-01-07, is not open. The open period for US007 is from to (8010,523)"

Steps:

This issue can be replicated by performing the following steps:

1) Create an AM BU with a Book that uses a non default ledger group for the creation of accounting entries.
2) Open the periods for the default ledger group for the corresponding GL BU.
3) Create an asset.
4) Dispose of the asset on the Disposal Worksheet.
