Denied Credit Card Transactions Get 'Stuck' when Attempting to Reprocess it Using First the 'Credit Card Authorization' Process (OM_CRC000) and then the Online Pages (Doc ID 2009365.1)

Symptoms

The below errors are issued when attempting to authorize a denied credit card payment using first the 'Credit Card Authorization' process (OM_CRC000) and then online pages. As a result the credit card transaction becomes 'stuck' and cannot be processed.

* 'Credit Card Data' page (navigation: Order Management, Quotes and Orders, Create/Update Order) > the following error is issued:

Background Credit Card authorization is in process. (12600,78)

* 'Identify Pending Transactions' page (navigation: Order Management, Quotes and Orders, Create Credit Card Trans, Identify Pending Transactions) > the following error is issued:

Order number XXX credit card status has changed.  Cannot process pending credit card. (12600,143)


Steps to replicate the issue:

  1. Create an Sales Order with a Payment Type of CC (navigation: Order Management, Quotes and Orders, Create/Update Order) and chose an amount that will insure the transaction is declined.
  2. Attempt to authorize the credit card transaction and observe the decline > the following message is issued: "Credit card denied.  Reason:  102 DeclineERROR 102   (12600,52).
  3. Run the 'Credit Card Authorization' process (OM_CRC000) (navigation: Order Management, Quotes and Orders, Create Credit Card Trans, Request Credit Card Process) at least twice and observe each time that the credit card transaction contiunes to decline.
  4. Attempt to authorize the credit card transaction from the 'Create/Update Order' component > the following error is issued: "Background Credit Card authorization is in process. (12600,78)".
  5. Attempt to authorize the card from the 'Identify Pending Transactions' page (navigation: Order Management, Quotes and Orders, Create Credit Card Trans, Identify Pending Transactions) > the following error is issued: "Order number XXX credit card status has changed.  Cannot process pending credit card. (12600,143)".
  6. The credit card transaction is effectively 'stuck' at this point.
