E-SSL: Cannot Connect using HTTPS - PIA_weblogic.log contains error: fatal: engine already closed. Rethrowing null cert chain> (Doc ID 2009761.1)

Customer has configured PIA to use HTTPS. The HTTP URL is working fine, but when using the browser to connect to HTTPS, nothing happens.

There are no errors written in the logs at all.

When SSL DEBUG was enabled as follows:

1. Add these parameters to the 'JAVA_OPTIONS_os' parameter in
       -Dssl.debug=true -Dweblogic.StdoutDebugEnabled=true
    Here is an example:
       SET JAVA_OPTIONS_WIN=-jrockit -XnoOpt -XXnoJITInline -Xms512m -Xmx512m - Dtoplink.xml.platform=oracle.toplink.platform.xml.jaxp.JAXPPlatform -Dssl.debug=true -Dweblogic.StdoutDebugEnabled=true -

- Shut down PIA
- Clear current logs
- Restart PIA and recreate issue, i.e. access PeopleSoft environment using the HTTPS port

The following errors appear in the PIA_stdout.log file:
