Data Conflict Error in Requisition due to Multiple Rows Showing Same Line Number (Doc ID 2013634.1)

Symptoms

 Multiple issues occur during requisition creation with multiple special request items . The issue occurs when user clicks on review and Submit without selecting any item or adding to cart and then goes back to add more items.


Issue 1:
Item line number is always ‘1’. for all requisition line.

Issue 2:
Input comment in ‘Additional info’ requisition into line 1 and 2 when creating requisition. When viewing the requisition line comment in line 1 and 2,Line 2 comments is shown in Line 1 . Line 1 comments is overridden or deleted.

Issue 3:
Error when saving requisition. Data Conflict Error occurs while saving requisition.


ERROR

Data Conflict error occurs.

Data being added conflicts with existing data. (18,2)

When adding a new item to the database, the system found a conflicting item already exists.

This problem can happen if another user has entered similar information at the same time as you. Note the changes you have made, cancel the page, then retry your changes.

If the problem persists, it may be because of an application or other programming error and should be reported to technical support staff.

This error occurs when the keys on the record being inserted match a record that is already in the database. The application must ensure that each inserted record has unique keys.



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:


1. Navigate to eProcurement > Requisition > Special Request

2. Click on Checkout. Enter Requisition Name

3. Click on Add More Items
 
4. Click on Special Requests again

5. Enter the item Description, Qty, UOM etc.. and other details as shown below-Line 1

6. Enter Additional Information

7. Add to Cart . Do not Checkout

8. Enter another Line for Special Request-Line 2
 
9. Enter Additional Information

10. Add to Cart and Checkout

Issue 1

Both the Line Numbers are showing as Line no 1. It should be 1 and 2.

Lets continue..

11. Click on the Line Comments for Line 1

Issue 2
----------------------

12. Line 2 comments is shown in Line 1 . Line 1 comments is overridden or deleted

13. Lets check Line 2 Comments. Line 1 is showing correct line comments. However line 2 comment is gone

Lets Continue..

14. Lets click on OK to close the comments Pop up

15. Click on Save and Submit
