EAM: Disposal Worksheet error "Unexpected data type code: None. (180,605)" when Submit for Disposal without selecting an Asset (Doc ID 2016092.1)

Symptoms

Asset Management Disposal Worksheet error "Unexpected data type code: None. (180,605)" when Submit for Disposal without selecting an Asset.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Log in as VP2/VP2.
2. Go to Disposal Worksheet. BU = FRA01. Click on Retrieve.
3. Without selecting any asset for disposal, click on the Submit for Disposal button.
4. Click OK on confirmation message: "Warning -- Are you sure you want to submit selected assets for disposal? (8005,108)".
5. "A SQL error occurred. Please consult your system log for details." -- OK.
6. "A fatal PeopleCode SQL error occurred. Please consult your system log for details." -- OK.
7. "A SQL error occurred. Please consult your system log for details." -- OK.
8. "A fatal PeopleCode SQL error occurred. Please consult your system log for details." -- OK.
9. "A SQL error occurred. Please consult your system log for details." -- OK.
10. "A fatal PeopleCode SQL error occurred. Please consult your system log for details." -- OK.
