The 'Inventory Data Purge' Process (IN_PURGE) Run for Multiple Business Units Only Keeps Data in the PS_CM_PURGE_TMP Temp Table of the Last Processed Business Unit (Doc ID 2016846.1)

Last updated on JUNE 14, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Inventory - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running the 'Inventory Data Purge' process (IN_PURGE) (navigation: Inventory, Purge) for multiple Business Units, only the data of the last processed Business Unit is kept in the PS_CM_PURGE_TMP table.

The result of the purge can be seen in the Process Message Log where messages such as this one can be seen: Disqualify for receipt cost not accounting lined: 1 putaway keys. (11130,16) (0,0).

However the only way to know which Items have been disqualified so that you can perform an analysis and correct the Items/transactions, is to query the PS_CM_PURGE_TMP and search for the Business Unit, Message Set Number, and Message Number.

Because of the way the process is deleting the data from the PS_CM_PURGE_TMP table, such a data analysis cannot be performed for all Business Units except for the last processed one. The process has to be run Business Unit by Business Unit.
