Prior FLSA Double-time Calculation Issue if Employee Transfers to Salaried position in Non-FLSA Paygroup
Company FLSA Rule: Use Higher of FLSA or Contractual
Employee FLSA Status = nonexempt when paid double-time earnings.
Employee is transferred to Exempt Salaried position and new paygroup FLSA Period Definition is 'Unspecified' (default setting - even if FLSA Required is not selected).
If there is a payment made against the prior paygroup that impacts the FLSA calculation for double-time, the system will always calculate at the FLSA
(1.5) rate, even if the contractual rate is higher.
