Absence Management - Absence requests for new hires result in error ‘Work Schedule does not cover entire processing period’ (17005, 551) (Doc ID 2022632.1)

On : Absence Management, any version.

When attempting to submit an absence for an employee recently enrolled in Absence Management
the following error occurs.

‘Work Schedule does not cover entire processing period’. (17005, 551)
No rows or not enough rows were found in the work schedule table to cover the entire processing period from the (earliest process date -1 day) to the (latest process date +1 day). (The adjusted dates are required to resolve the day before and day after system elements related to work schedule.)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Hire and enroll employee in Absence Management.

2. Assign a work schedule other than the pay group default (one row on work schedule)

3. Submit absence request during first month of hire.

4. Receive above error message

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot submit absences for new hires within their first payroll. This works fine for future dated absences.
