Symptoms

With the application server running on Linux OS, a new fresh non-production installation with standard PeopleSoft authentication scheme (no LDAP).

Peoplesoft Application Designer and Peoplesoft Data Mover connect to the environment well, but every attempt to sign on via PIA fails with the below error text in browser window:
