E-TR: Tree Structures Using Long Menu Bar Names Can Cause The Application Server To Crash (Doc ID 2027975.1)

Symptoms

Using/navigating/editing trees based on tree structures using a Menu Bar Name longer than 10 characters can cause the Application Server domain to crash. The users will notice the page is 'hanging' and the processing wheel spins endlessly. Eventually, the users will be kicked out of the application.

In these situations, the Application Server log may show the following messages:

 

Changes

Upgrade to PeopleTools 8.54.x / migrating older trees (8.53 and below) to an 8.54 environment.
