Symptoms
For a grid with many rows (such as 10,000+), the download grid feature to download grid data into a spreadsheet file is very slow, keeps processing, or even times out completely.
Replication:
1. Go to any page with a grid that has many rows (such as over 10,000)
2. Use the "Download Grid" button in the grid header to Download Grid to Excel as a xls spreadsheet
3. Process is either very slow, or the process is timed out
In one customer's scenario, a grid with 43337 rows was being downloaded.
