EAM: How to submit a new Leave Request for the date of a Cancelled Leave? (Doc ID 2038747.1)

Symptoms

When an Absence Request has been entered via Employee Self Service and then Pushed Back by the Manager to be cancelled, the employee is unable to edit this request when submit it on the same start and end date. The following error occurs:

"The Start and End Dates request are overlapping with existing requests or absence events. Please modify your Start and/or End Date"

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Log in as an Employee and submit an Absence Request (such a sick leave) (via Self Service > Time Reporting > Report Time > Absence Request)
2. Log in as a Manager and push back this request (via Manager Self Service > Time Reporting > Report Time > Absence Request)
3. Log back in as Employee and edit the request by cancelling the Absence Request (via Self Service > Time Reporting > View Time > Absence Request)
4. Re-submit the Absence Request and submit for approval (via Self Service > Time Reporting > Report Time > Absence Request)
