E-QR/API: FormatResultString Method Not Generating The Correct HTML (Doc ID 2045495.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 24, 2015

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.52 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using the RunToString method like in the example below the HTML code generated is incorrect because the output is missing a ">" in the HTML header:
&resultString = &aRunQryEmail.RunToString(&aQryPromptRecEmail, &chunksize, %Query_HTML, 0);

Generated Code
<html lang='en'
<!-- Copyright (c) 2000, 2011, Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved. -->

Expected Code

<html lang='en'>
<!-- Copyright (c) 2000, 2011, Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved. -->

This makes the received results by email not properly viewable in MS Outlook 2013 and MS Outlook 365.

In older versions of MS Office the code was automatically corrected by the Outlook application.
