ETL9.2: Online Validation Causing Deadlocks on TL_VALD_MAIN.ST000.STEP040 DO SELECTS TL_VALD_MAIN.ST000.STEP040 DO SELECT

Symptoms

Users are reporting getting kicked out of the application repeatedly. They can come back into the system only to be kicked out again.

Online error occurs when Leave time is submitted and the validation of leave time is called. Error received by user:
A SQL error occurred. Please consult your system log for details.

During a CallAppEngine builtin function call, the Application Engine detected an error. The Application Engine log may provide more information.


System should not be kicking the end users out of the system or encountering deadlock errors when reporting time.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.  Hundreds of end users reporting time and hitting submit or entering time using Webclock

2.  TL Installation table is using Online and Batch validation for Leave and Comptime

3.  Validation set being used is ST_ALL and both online and time admin checkboxes are all turned on

All of these issues are causing a flood of calls from the user community. Payable time is not being created for payroll purposes, and they are in production for the first time in 9.2 after upgrading from 9.0 release.
