How To Make the Configurator Fire a Rule when the Previous Rule Is Not in Effect (Doc ID 2050025.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 04, 2016

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Product Configurator - Version 9 and later
PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Order Management - Version 9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The Configurator is not firing a Rule when the previous Rule in the Configuration Model Tree is not in effect.

Steps to replicate the issue:

  1. Create a Rule with an Effective Date < current date.
  2. Add the Rule to a Configuration Model Tree such as right before a Submodel Rule.
  3. Create a Sales Order for a product using that Distribution Model (navigation: Order Management, Quotes and Orders, Create/Update Order) or use the 'Test Models' page (navigation: Configuration Modeler, Maintain Models, Test Models).
  4. Observe that the Submodel Rule is not fired.
