Information in this document applies to any platform.
If a PeopleSoft database becomes unavailable for any reason, and after a while becomes available again, most of the application server domain processes automatically reconnect to it within a few minutes.
However the PUBSUB processes (named in patterns PSxxxDSP_* and PSxxxHND_*) often take much longer to reconnect to the database than most, especially when downtime duration was considerable.
Why such a difference in behavior, is this something configurable?
