We set up the Paycheck Modeler in a few different test environments and none of them are pulling in the medical/dental deductions that are expected on every check. If an employee has a 403b/ 457b deduction, additional retirement, or TDA account contribution, those deductions are showing up. But the medical/dental premiums are not.
The documentation for paycheck modeling says it uses the next open calendar for the calculation. In our test environments, the next open calendar is an off-cycle in one and a monthly on-cycle in the other. In either case no medical/dental premiums are withheld.
We've added the deductions to the "deduction definition" table in Pay Group Parameters under Paycheck Modeling USA, but that has made no difference.
Medical/Dental premiums should have been calculated.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Process on-cycle with Regular deductions and an independent off-cycle pay periods that is using a Subset
2. Process the self service Paycheck Modeler
3. Review if the Medical/Dental deductions are being processed
Due to this issue, users cannot see the Medical/Dental deductions being calculated via paycheck modeler.
