EEX 9.2: The Action History Grid At The Expense Report View Page (EX_EXPENSE_SUBMIT) Does Not Display All Approval Actions If More Than 5 Rows Exist, As It Is Cut By Previous In List PeopleTools Button (Doc ID 2056042.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 23, 2017

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Expenses - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ISSUE:

Expense Report Action History section is cut off on its fifth line by the PeopleTools buttons of 'Previous in List', and 'Next in List'. This happens when PeopleTools Version is 8.54.00 or higher, the workflow actions on the transaction are 5 or more, and there are multiple Expense Report transactions for the same Employee ID (as otherwise the PeopleTools buttons at the bottom of the page will not get displayed).

REPLICATION STEPS:

   - Log into the FSCM Online Application as User ID EXA1
   - Navigate to: Employee Self-Service > Travel and Expense Center > Expense Report > Create/Modify
   - Define Employee ID KU0021
   - Click on the ADD button
   - Create a new Expense Report, and submit the transaction for approval
   - Navigate to: Employee Self-Service > Travel and Expense Center > Expense Report > Create/Modify
   - Define Employee ID KU0021
   - Click on the ADD button
   - Create second new Expense Report transaction, and perform the below actions:
        - Submit Expense Report
        - Withdraw Expense Report
        - Submit Expense Report
        - Withdraw Expense Report
        - Submit Expense Report
   - Navigate to: Employee Self-Service > Travel and Expense Center > Expense Report > View
   - Perform a search, and find the second Expense Report
   - Open the transaction, and check the Action History section. Note that the 5th row is cut in display of the 'Previous in List' PeopleTools button

To gather more information concerning this scenario and its related problem, refer to the available Replication Steps Word Document here linked containing the complete configuration and the replication steps necessary to reproduce the issue.

BUSINESS IMPACT:

The Expense Report View Mode does not properly display the Action History lines, creating confusion to the Users, who cannot see what action was taken on the 5th row.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

The Expense Report Action History grid should be able to properly display all actions taken by workflow users, with the PeopleTools buttons (Previous in List, and Next in List) not having an effect on it.
