Symptoms

9.2

When User Defaults are pre populated and the Activity End Date has passed, there is no warning message informing the users the end date of the activity has passed.

Reports in Pending Status can be submitted as well as newly created reports.

Steps:

1) Populate the employee User Defaults with PC BU/ PROJECT/ and ACTIVITY
2) In Projects go to Project Definition, select a Project and drill down to the Activities, Review the Activities. Ensure the Activity used in Expenses Employee Defaults is an Activity for which the Activity End Date has ended
Example: Employee profile populated with the PC BU Project and Activity in 1/1/2015. In Projects the Start date of the Activity is 01//01/2014 and and End Date is 05/25/2015.
3) In Project Ensure the Processing Status of the Activity set to Active
4) Create a time report using an Activity in which the Activity End Date has passed, Save the Report
5) Submit the Report

Expected Result:  One should not be able to submit a report associated to an Activity in which the End Date has passed

Actual Result:  When User Defaults are set in Employee Profile then one can save or submit a Report for an Activity in which the Activity end date has passed in Projects.

Work around: Set the Processing Status of the Activity to Inactive when the Activity End Date has passed.
This will ensure report cannot be submitted for any Project / Activity in which End Date has been reached.
Note the issue does not occur when User Defaults are not used.
When creating Time Report without user defaults any Activity in which the End Date has passed will not be displayed.
