EAR9.2: An Error Occured During the Upload When Attempting to Upload Excel Payments Where Customer Name is Having Special Character '&' (Doc ID 2057495.1)

On : 9.1 version, Payment Online Deposit

When attempting to upload Excel payments where customer name is having special character “&”the following error occurs.

An error occured during the upload. Please check to make sure your settings are correct.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open ExcelUploadforDeposits file.
  2. Enter a customer name containing special character “&”.
  3. Click on Generate XML and Post to post it to PeopleSoft application.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot upload payments using Excel.
