FSCM Brazil AM: Asset Unitize Error When COST_TYPE Is Required
Last updated on AUGUST 18, 2016
Applies to:PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Asset Management Brazil - Version 9.1 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
After receiving assets from PO and loading interface tables (INTFC_FIN / INTFC_PHY_A); we need to unitize assets. Everything works fine until we try to save - we're getting an error for each line of our unitized asset:
8005, 21 - There is no accounting entry template for the transaction you have performed. (Trans Type: ADD)
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a new asset category
2. Create required accounting entry templates (ADD, DPR, etc) for this category using only COST_TYPE = "something", do not create accounting entries with cost_type = ' ' (blank)!
3. Create PS_INTFC_FIN lines (through PO interface, the error will probably also happen if you just create the lines directly through insert); remember that COST_TYPE must not be blank
4. Try to unitize the assets in this interface -> ERROR!
The issue has the following business impact:
We are currently closing our first period and several assets must be loaded in order to close the accounting period.
