E-AE: Getting "CMgrCntrlImp::CreateCacheDir error creating cache directory: system errno = 13" from PSAE in Command Line under OS UserID Different than Install (Doc ID 2062024.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 05, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.54 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On PeopleTools 8.54, OS platform Solaris 11, Application Engine programs are being run on a Process Scheduler domain and also in command line.

The OS user profiles where they run in command line have ith PS_SERVER_CFG environment variable pointing to the configuration of the same domain.
When they run in the domain or in command line in an a shell session with the same OS userid that installed the environment, the runs are successful.

However for a session with another userids (not the one that was used during the install process) all attempts fail with the below error:

CMgrCntrlImp::CreateCacheDir error creating cache directory: system errno = 13

On the other hand, after creating a new Process Scheduler domain with the same OS userid as owner, PSAE from that install works with other userids, too.

What is the reason of getting this error when running psae in command line under non-owner userid from one domain and not from the other (new) domain?
