Resource_ID_From Is Inherited From Grant Parent Row Rather Than Immediate Parent For the Priced Rows. Why? (Doc ID 2062606.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 20, 2015

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Project Costing - Version 9.1 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 9.2 version, Pricing and Rate templates

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Resource_ID_FROM field on target transactions are being stamped with the original transaction's resource_id rather than the immediate parent's resource_id which are in turn generated as an intermediate transaction.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Resource_ID_FROM field on target transactions should be stamped with immediate parent's resource_id field

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a Proposal
2. Generate an award from proposal
3. Create a rate plan and associate it with 2 rate sets. Basis is chosen as "All for both
4. First rate set is of Cost Rate type -- Source PAY analysis type - Target is CBP for 0.4 mark up
5. Second Rate set is of Bill Rate Type - Source is CBP analysis type - Target BIL with NON as rate option
6. Associate the rate plan to the contract
7. Add a new PAY transaction for the associated Project/Activity for say $100
8. The following is observed

PAY - Resource_ID 10004004 - Resource_ID_FROM - 10004004 - $100
CBP - Resource_ID 10004005 - Resource_ID_FROM - 10004004 - $40
BIL - Resource_ID 10004007 - Resource_ID_FROM - 10004004 - $40 <<<<----

The expectation is to see the below. See the Resource_ID_FROM - 10004005 instead of Resource_ID_FROM - 10004004

BIL - Resource_ID 10004007 - Resource_ID_FROM - 10004005 - $40 <<<
