Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Statement of the issue:
-----------------------------------
Resource ID's are populated from the original bill if Copy Single Bill functionality is used.

For bills processed from grants/contracts (the system source is set to PBI – Projects to Billing Interface – on the PS_BI_LINE table), the resource ID’s are copied from the the original bill.
Users will have to manually type their own revenue lines to process these bills. However, if they leave the resource ID on the bill line, there is a link to the transaction for the original bill’s accounting entry on the PS_CA_ACCTG_LN_PC table.
This leads to problems during the revenue estimate process – we have items that collect revenue based on both the revenue lines of the bill that were typed into PS_BI_LINE_DST and from the entries on PS_CA_ACCTG_LN_PC due to the resource ID being populated on the bill.

Expected Behavior:
-------------------------------
Resource ID's should not be populated from the original bill if Copy Single Bill functionality is used.
