Allow the days to be used for Workflow Escalation to be determined by User-Defined Business Week Calendars.
Prior to Application Release 9.2 FP1, the Approval Workflow Engine uses a fixed calendar of 24 hours per day and 7 days per week to evaluate the escalation period.
As a result, weekends, non-working hours and holidays cannot be excluded in evaluating the escalation period.
This new functionality allows users the flexibility to define their own Business Week Calendars for specific Approval Process Definitions.
They can specify work days, working hours per workday, and holidays, and have escalation calculations be done based on those user defined calendars.
Business Week Calendars can be used to specify the work days in a week, working hours per workday, and holidays.
Escalation calculations for specific Approval Process Definitions can then be done based on those User Defined Business Week Calendars.
