Symptoms
In the Absence Event page (via Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Payee Data > Maintain Absences > Absence Event), while changing the Process action from Normal to Void the following error occurs:
First operand of . is NULL, so cannot access member UNIT_TYPE. (180,236) FUNCLIB_GP_ABS.CALC_END_DT_BTN.FieldFormula Name:Adm_calcualte_duration PCPC:116268 Statement:2142 Called from:GP_ABS_EVENT.DURATION_ABS.SaveEdit Statement:8
The first operand of the dot operator is the NULL value, indicating the lack of any object value. As a consequence, the given method or property cannot be used.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
The Administrator should be able to void an Absence Request via the Absence Event pages
WHAT IS WORKING
When you enter the Details link (via Absence Event pages), change the Process Action to Void and save the page again, this allow us to save the Void absence event.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. An Employee saves an Absence Request (such a vacation leave) (via Self Service > Time Reporting > Report Time > Absence Request)
2. Now the Administrator voids the Absence (via Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Payee Data > Maintain Absences > Absence Event)
