GP UK Court Order Deductions In Third Party BACS File (Doc ID 2068297.1)

Last updated on JUNE 12, 2017

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Global Payroll UK - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If a court order is a deduction from earnings order, paid to the Child Support Agency an employee reference must be included. See section 4.7 of http://hmctscourtfinder.justice.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/ae-handbook-eng.pdf

Similarly, for arrestment of earnings orders, county councils specify that a court order reference must be included with the BACS payment. However, when a court order is entered and set-up to be paid via deduction recipient the BACS file does not contain any reference to the court order. This essentially means that the deduction recipient functionality as we are currently able to use it is not fit for purpose in regards to court orders.
