In Workforce Administration  > Job Information  > Contract Administration >  Update Contracts, the following message is triggered:
"Warning -- Signature Date must be later than Contract Begin Date
Signature Date must be later than Contract Begin Date. You may need to enter the century of your date field to prevent system defaulting."

This contradicts the legislation of some countries, where a contract has to be signed prior to the start date
