Goal

Qn1:Please advise on how to archive below tables on regular intervals without effecting drill down.

PS_FAH_ACCTG_HDR
PS_FAH_ACCTG_LINE
PS_FAI_ACCTG_HDR
PS_FAI_ACCTG_LINE

Qn2:Table PS_FAH_ACCTG_HDR does not have the account_dt column. What are my options?

Qn3:1. Does the following seem feasible:
We would archive by accounting date (ACCOUNTING_DT column). Since PS_FAH_ACCTG_HDR doesn't have the ACCOUNTING_DT column a program would be written to match columns AE_HEADER_ID AND ANCHOR_BU in tables
PS_FAH_ACCTG_HDR and PS_FAH_ACCTG_LINE. Once we have a match on the columns and the ACCOUNTING_DT column in table PS_FAH_ACCTG_LINE meets the criteria for archiving, then the row in PS_FAH_ACCTG_HDR and rows in PS_FAH_ACCTG_LINE would be archived off.

For the other two tables PS_FAI_ACCTG_HDR and PS_FAI_ACCTG_LINE we would archive off the rows using the
ACCOUNTIN_DT column.

Would that process work for all four tables?

2. In one of your previous posts you mentioned the following:"There is no specific archiving design for the FAH interface tables, if the GL journals generated successfully, the data in FAH tables can be deleted (only impact drill back). "

What do you mean by "the data in FAH tables can be deleted (only impact drill back)"?
