ER: MouseOver – Email on Read Only Pages (Doc ID 2084673.1)

In the MouseOver, it is possible to include an employee’s email address. Next to the Email address there’s an envelope, when you click on this envelope a new email opens with the email address already filled in. However when you are on a page which is read only, nothing happens when you click on the envelope. The MouseOver becomes read only as well, while it should always be possible to open a new email.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. User that only has Display-Only access to Modify PERSONAL_DATA component
2. Navigate to Main Menu > Workforce Administration > Personal Information > Modify a Person
3. MouseOver Employee Name -> A pop-up displays. The envelope icon, that would normally trigger an email with employee's email address already filled in, is now inactive.
The described problem is not restricted to Personal Data. The MouseOver (Employee Name) is available, whereas the envelope icon is inactive.
Moreover, as soon as The Display Only property at permission list for a component is set, the icon is inactive.
