Unique Constraint Error For Employee With Change Of Pay Group And Retro (Doc ID 2086188.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to process a payroll for an employee that has been cancelled within another Calendar Group after a a Pay Group transfer and subsequent retro event
the following error occurs.

ERROR

Application Program Failed
 In Pgm Section : GPPIDNT1: YB000-GPPIDNT1_I_HDRWRK
 With Return Code: 00805
 Error Message : INSERT or UPDATE would result in duplicate rows in a table with a UNIQUE index
 
 
Application Program Failed
 In Pgm Section : GPPSERVC: LJ000-CALL-IDENTIFY-PGM
 With Return Code: 00805
 Error Message : INSERT or UPDATE would result in duplicate rows in a table with a UNIQUE index
 
 
Application Program Failed
 In Pgm Section : GPPDPRUN: JA000-CALL-SERVICE
 With Return Code: 00805
 Error Message : INSERT or UPDATE would result in duplicate rows in a table with a UNIQUE index
 
Process ended : 11:59:02
The process terminated with ERRORS



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Calculate employee in a calendar group for the new pay group with a retro event back to before the emp transferred
2. Calculate employee in calendar group for the old pay group
3. Cancel employee in calendar group for new pay group by selecting cancel in payee status and then running the employee through the payroll.
4. Calculate employee in calendar group for the old pay group
