REM: Straightline Incorrect When Using Index With More Than One Base Followed By Last (Doc ID 2090944.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 23, 2016

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Real Estate Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When multiple escalations of Base followed by an escalation of Last are applied to Base Rent, the calculation for Last is incorrect. This occurs whether Last is applied with an amount or a percentage.

Expected Results:
-----------------------
When you select a first escalation of Base, the system takes the Base Rent and adds it to the first escalation amount.

When you select a second escalation of Base, the system takes the Base Rent and adds it to the second escalation amount.

When you select a third escalation of Last, the system takes the second escalation amount (Base Rent plus Base escalation amount) and multiples it by the percentage. This is correct.

In this case, the system calculated Last as Base Rent plus 1st Base escalation amount plus 2nd Base escalation amount multiplied by percentage. This is incorrect.

Steps
----------
This issue can be verified by performing the following steps:

1) Add a Base Rent to a Lease with two Base escalations followed by a Last using a percent.

2) Run Straightline.
