The customer installed Bug 16263265 - ERE:STRAIGHTLINE DATA IS NOT IN RE_STLINE AND RE_STRLINE_GL_LS. However, it failed to resolve her issue in the following way:
“We tried this fix but it did not resolve the issue. The data was in the RE_STLINE table but the amount was not correct. The amounts that were in the RE_STLINE table were the SL amounts for all periods that had been processed for any Financial Term for the Lease. So if you straightlined an operating expense and posted the January SL then did an amendment to turn straightline off and regenerated the SL amounts in the RE_STLINE table the amount would contain amounts for all periods that had been processed by any Financial Transaction. So if Base Rent had been processed to May the RE_STLINE would contain the amounts for the operating expense for January, February, March, April and May instead of just January.”
This issue can be replicated by performing the following steps:
1. Add base rent run the Straightline and process and post the entries for January 2015 to May 2015.
2. Then Add an operating expense that is straightlined for January 2015 to December 2015. Process and Post the straightline entry for January 2015.
3. Then do an amendment and turn straightline off and then regenerate the straightline.
4. Results: We found that the amount in the RE_STLINE table contained the amounts for January, February, March, April and May. This is what had been processed and posted for the Base Rent. Instead of just the January amount which is what it should have had in the table because only January was processed for the Operating Expense.
