Receiving the Following Error When Saving a New Work Order For an Independent Provider: “Provider Contact details for the service provider must be setup before work order can be generated.” (Doc ID 2092185.1)

Symptoms

Issue when creating a work order with Independent Provider Contact which is created with an Effective Date prior to the current date, when a work order is created with independent service provider, the following message is thrown

ERROR
-----------------------
“Provider Contact details for the service provider must be set up before work order can be generated.”

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a new Independent Service Provide with Effective Date earlier than the current date
2. Create a new Work Order for the new Independent Service Provider
3. Save Work Order and error is thrown.
